Fun FCFC Facts!
Did you know FCFC has over 450 members, with pathways for players from age 4 all the way up to our experienced walking footballers? With 40+ teams across both male and female divisions, there’s something for everyone!
We’re also proud to run our Comets Programme—a pan-disability football programme for boys and girls aged 5-11. Designed to be flexible and inclusive, Comets is all about playfulness, friendships, and just being yourself. The FA says it best: *“More than anything, Comets is football that breaks the old rules and replaces them with a brand new one—JUST BE YOU!”*

Team News
With Hightown on a half-term break, our managers and players had a chance to recharge—here’s how everyone got on this week!
U18 Boys
Our U18 Boys, running lean with just 11 players, took on Heenan FC, a new and improving team. After a slow start, Will put us on the board with a stunning overhead goal! We continued pressing, with Dominic volleying in a beautiful goal from a free-kick to make it 2-0.
Despite hitting the post and creating great chances, the score held at a well-earned **2-0**. Solid work, boys!

U14 Barca
The U14 Barca lads put in another stellar performance, going up 1-0 early but finishing in a close 1-2 match against Kirkby.
We’re inching closer to our first win of the season—who needs points anyway when you’re playing like this? ?

U13 Oranges
The U13 Oranges went up against Berkley Lobster and, despite being the stronger team in the first half, found themselves down 0-1 due to a late penalty. An early second-half goal threw them off balance, and the match ended 0-3. Big shout-out to Zak K for his strong game and leadership at CB!
These lads are building friendships and showing dedication—ultimate teamwork! ?

U18 Girls
The U18 Girls, down to a squad of 10 (and a few of those playing through injuries), bravely took to the field and earned an impressive 2-1 win!
They played out of position and gave it everything—a fantastic result from an incredibly resilient group!

U14 Girls
The U14 Girls had a tough game last week, facing a 10-0 loss to Marina Sands U13’s. This week, they took on Marina Sands U14s and showed a lot of heart! After falling behind by 3, they fought back to 3-2 before ending the game 7-2.
A solid performance that shows the team’s resilience—confidence builder for sure!

U10 Girls
Our Under-10 Panthers (in pink for the day) faced off against the U9 Tigers in a friendly filled with great sportsmanship and impressive football! With Formby’s very own “Howard Webb” reffing and parents cheering positively from the sidelines, both teams gave their all. The future of girls’ football is looking bright! ?

Another fantastic week for FCFC!
