A wet game this week as the heavens opened but it didn’t dampen the team’s spirit.
The training focus this week was to stay calm under pressure and apply more pressure to the opposition.
The game started with some great passing play from the whole team using the wings to allow more time to assess options when on the ball.
Eventually the blacks managed to start moving the ball forward and scored their first goal thanks to a few dribbling skills from Dillon.
The excitement rose for the second half as the team continued to gel; forming a defensive and attacking unit.
The energy levels remained high as the team paced back and forth regaining possession and countering.
Soon enough we scored our second goal via Wojtek’s strong right footed shot to the lower left corner of the goal.
The team continued to battle as a unit for the remainder of the match and finished with high spirits.
A final team talk concluded a big improvement on last week and an aim to develop our calmness under pressure and dribbling skills.
Man of the match goes to Dillon as voted by the team with a special mention to Captain Jack for a solid defensive performance once again.
Well done to Harry for support up front, always hungry and shouting making his presence known.
Well done to Ethan for some great tackles and awareness of keeping back in defence when needed.
And well done to Seb for passing skills and applying pressure on the opposition. All this when under the weather, get well soon!
